Callis Close is the name given to the stable block refurbishment within the Callis Yard development in Bunton Street, Woolwich, consisting of ground floor, first floor and mezzanine floor.
The project involved the part demolition, refurbishment and development of the existing stable block and extension buildings incorporating two 3-bedroom duplex apartments within the existing Grade 2 listed building, and one 3-bedroom apartment within the 1960s extension to the existing building.

The development provides three 3-bedroom houses, situated adjacent to the King’s Road.

The development is a New Steel Frame Construction consisting of three 3-bedroom family units over two floors (ground and first), covering a total area of 343sq.m (3692sq.ft). Situated in Fernshaw Road, Chelsea, the houses are numbered 45a, 45b and 45c Fernshaw Road respectively. Unit 45c is wheelchair adaptable in accordance with the Wheelchair Housing Design Guide.
Built on a reinforced concrete strip foundation, the steel framed columns are infilled with new block work. The building utilises an existing brickwork party wall to the rear of building, which has been tied into a new blockwork wall with Ancon 36/8 wall extension system to reinforce the wall.
